L2 renewal - tell them about GC processing?

My sister and nephew have L2 visa on their passport which has expired. My brother-in-law got a new L1 approval. Their GC processing is also going on and my b-i-l applied for I-140.

My sister is going to India and will need to get a L2 visa stamped based on my B-I-L's new L1 . Is it OK to reveal in the DS-156 form or during interview that their GC is in process? Will their L2 be rejected as potential immigrant if she reveals about the GC processing?

H1b and L2 are dual intent visas. The visa officers know that there is an option of getting a status conversion to a legal permanent resident fro either one of these visa status. It is better to disclose rather than cutting a sorry figure when the visa officer finds out using his/her own means.
