Need immigration info

I am here in US on L1 Visa and that is valid till Nov 2006. I am planning to visit canada sometime in aug and wanted to know if I can do that safely.

I will be getting a visa from canada embassy but wanted to know if there is any problem when I will be coming back to US. Do I need to get anothe I94 stampped on my passport.

Please advice.

If you already hav e the L stamped in you r passport you will be fine, if you just have an appoved L petition then you'll have to go the US consulate.....but if the former applies, you'll hav e no problems reentering the US

Also if by August, you have filed for L1 status extension, then carry the proof for the same to be shown to the Immigration Officers on re-entry.
