  • L2 with EAD working in US: visa stamping questions

    Hi,

My husband is on an L1 visa and I have an L2 visa with EAD. I work in Microsoft as a contractor through a US company.

We are planning to take a vacation to India in December 2007 for around two weeks and need to attend our Visa stamping in Chennai in January.

1: Is there a chance of my visa getting rejected(since I'm working here) or my husband's visa getting rejected?
2: Is there a way by which the consulate would know that I'm working here?
    3: Can I tell during my Visa interview that I'm a home-maker?

    Thanks for your help.

Why would you hide the fact that youre working. L2 allows you to work legally. You dont have to hide the fact that youre working

I can't imagine why. Spouses of L1 Visa holders are allowed to work............if you weren't , how would you ahve received an EAD?
What if you lie and somehow something slips and it comes out that Youre lying?..........There is absolutely no reason to lie about the fact that youre working. But I'm just curious, why do they want you to lie?
