My petition for L1 has been approved by USCIS and now i have to appear for interview in US Consulate for visa stamping in India.
I have filed for my visa only, since my wife does not stay with me for over 1 year now and we are living separately unofficially. Hence I have filed a suite in the court requesting the court to order her to come back.
I now wish to get an expert opinion on what documents to bring to the interview. There are 4 options - Married , Separated , Single and divorced in the form 157. I have mentioned "Separated" as I did not want to hide any facts from the Embassy. Will the court's attested copy of the my lawyer's legal notice to my wife suffice? Pl bear in mind that we are not legally separated by the court , hence there is not document to certify that the court has ordered us to live separately. My wife will obviuosly not cooperate to get a marriage certificate as we are not living together anymore.
Is any document required for separation in the first place , especially when i am going on duty alone ?
Pl help
