L1 Blanket Visa Extension Scenario - Urgent Help Requested

Hi,

I have my L1 Blanket Visa valid till 01-May-07 (PED) and I-94 valid till 18-Jun-2009.

My assignment got extended till Aug-08 and hence I need to visit India for getting married during Mar-07 and planning to come back by 01-Apr-07.

My company has started the visa extension process and I am not aware of how long it would take for getting the approval notice.

I need urgent help in finding answers for the below quests:

1. Will there be any problem if I travel to India and come back to US when I have only 1 month of L1 visa validity ? (let us say if I could'nt receive my approval notice before my travel.)

2. If I get the approval notice before my travel, while returning to US if I produce this extension approval notice, will I get I-94 till the extended period (Aug-08) ?

3. Is there a chance that they will stamp only till the current visa expiry (01-May-07) ???

4. When we say visa extension, will the visa stamp be renewed being in US without going for the visa interview again ?

I would really appreciate all ur kind support and immediate response to understand my scenario better, so that we can plan accordingly.

---- As long as you return to US within the validity period of your Visa there is no issue

---- YES

---- NO, if the new extension is shown the Visa will be issued till the validdity period of that extension

4. When we say visa extension, will the visa stamp be renewed being in US without going for the visa interview again ?

---- NO, the stamp (or Visa issuance) will not be renewed/issued while you are in US and without attending an interview in a third country/country of origin
