  • About L2 Visa

    Hi,
My husband is going to USA on L1 (for shor term 6 mnths) and I need to process my L2 Visa.
But currently I am working with IT Company, who has processed my H1. but not got stamped yet.
I have ask for leave of 3 months, in current organization, which I am not getting.
now in this scenario. to process my L2, I need to fill up ds-156 & ds-157.
In which i need to mention whether I am a housewife/working.

so now can if i mention that I am working. then I need to show leave card of current company. which i am not getting.
can you please suggest me, how to go about it all???
this is slightly complicated. but it would be a great help, if i get some solution on it.

    Thanks
    Jyoti

If you apply for a L2 visa, you don't need to show any proof of what you do and consequently don't need to reveal your employment status. Since your H1 is not stamped there wouldn't be an issue. If you can travel on L2, apply for an EAD and find a job in US... provided you decide to quit your existing company
