Extension of L1/L2- Please help me

Hi friends,

We have extended for two years for L1/L2 and i got the petition for extended for two years. Now, me & hubby are going to India and be back by a month. Should i give the petition for L1/L2 in the US Office(Airport) while going to India or is it enough to give the petition in India for re-stamping? Please clarify my doubts? I would appreciate if someone comes up with an answer.

I think he/she is asking wehther he/she simply gives the approved petition at the POE , to gain reentry to the US or whether they ahve to go the embassy in India for stamping.........right?

You have to go to the Embassy for the visa.

Thats right. I am going to re entry to the USA.
Next week , am leaving to India. I want to know whether the US Airport authorities will ask for the extended petition for L1/L2? . Even if they ask, will they keep it for themself or return back to us. Because of the re entry to the USA, i need the extended petition for restamping . Am i clear to you?

Well the question has been framed incorrectly but an attempt to answer

While departing the country you will only need to handover the I-94. The one that came with the extension approval.

If your extension has been approved, and assuming that the visa stamp on the passport has expires as well too has expired you will need to visit your local consulate first to get a new stamp before you can reenter.

Do keep copy of I-94 before you hand it over
