Hi,
Could you please help me with the following :
- I came to the US in March 2003 using a L1 visa from Company A.
- In Oct 2004, I got a H1 Approval notice (797) along with a new I-94 from Company B.
- I continued to work for Company A until May 2005. In May 2005 I left for India and re-entered the US in July 2005 with a new L1 (from Company A) stamped on my passport.
- I continued to work for Company A until Nov 2006.
- In Nov 2006, I resigned from Company A and started working for Company B.
- Company B said that they need not apply for change of status from L1 to H1, as they said the date on H1 approval is until Sep 2007.
Could you please advise me if this is correct or do I need to file for a change of status ?
