Blanket L1 221g
Hi All,
Initially on Nov 29th 2006 I got the L1 individual visa from Chennai consulate.
I prepared myself for travelling to U.S. and meanwhile my U.S. company got acquired by another company and they have asked me to get Blanket L1 visa stamped against the new company.
So I went to chennai consulate to get the Blanket L1 visa but the consular officer issued me 221g stating that "the balnket L1 visa is not clearly approved under 8 CFR xxxx and INA xxxxxx" and made a comment in my I129S as "No Specialized Knowledge".
Currently my U.S. Company attroney's are pursuing this case and meanwhile now I'm required to travel to South Africa on my company's Business trip.
Now I would like to know from you people that if at all I get an update from consulate on my 221g as top send the Passport or something else then how can I go about the situation because I'll be not available in India for 2 months.
I would also like to know from U of generally how much time the consulate gives to send the Passport and other stuff required by them.
Any kind of help is greatly appreciated.
