  • L1 I-797 Port of entry

    Hi

I got my L1 individual visa approved but the consulate has not returned my original I-797 form . Do I need this form while entering the US at the port of entry or anytime after that ?
what do I need to do to get the form back from the consulate ?

    thanks

You need Original I797 for L1 individual

You need original I797 at the port of entry . But some times they are OK
with duplicate copy. If it L1 blanket... copy of blanket petition will do.
But incase of L1 individual... you need to carry them.

Dont take risk and approach consulate for return of the same.

    All the best

        Check at the website

Which consulate did you go to? check at the site of that consulate.
You will get to know how to contact them.

          I have an L1b individual.

Just wanted to ask, since i will be travelling very frequently in and out of the USA, ( both to India and to UK/ Europe). Do i need to carry the I 797 EVERY SINGLE TIME I enter the USA?

Yes it is advisable just in case they ask for it.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
