  • L1 - part-time job

    Hi.

I am a L-1 visa holder. Am I allowed to work part-time for a second company? I saw a couple of negative answers already in the Internet.

    Thanks!

No one knows if L-1 holder is allowed to work part-time for another employer?

I don't think you are allowed; considering your L1 is assigned to your current employer.

            NOT ALLOWED FOR SURE.
L1 is employer specific and a special skill based.

This means that L-1 is totally screwed up (sorry for the expression). L-2 (spouse) can not work without permit (which costs $250+ and takes more than 3 months to be issued) and L-1 can not change jobs, or even work part-time. This means that the only income comes from the employer of the L-1, which guess what, doesn't pay much.

              Anyways, thanks to all replies.
