I came on L1 visa and applied for SSN. The SSN office sent my info to the Deptt of Homeland Security and they got a reply from them that I am on E1 visa (It maybe a typo error in the information sent or it maybe a typo made at the port of entry). SSN office has sent the information back to the homeland security office saying that my visa and I-94 show L1 while the information coming from them was E1.
I am now in a fix, trying to understand if I need to go to the Immigration Office and talk to the officer or wait for some time till SSN office hears back from them.
