Can I work if I am on L2?

My Spouse is on L1 and I need to accompany him. I will be getting an L2. Will I be able to work in US on L2? Do I need to get some extra paper work done for the same? Can somebody please guide?

---- Yes, it is possible to work in the US on L2. You have apply for EAD (Employment Authorisation document). After coming to US enquire with your husband's employer and your friends circle as to how you can go about the process
