Is Schengen Information System(SIS) referred while L1 Visa is being processed

Hi All,

My Company is just about to start the processing of L1 Visa for relocating me to US. While applying for a tourist Visa to France last week, a very unprecedented incident happened(in fact a accident) and it caused me attract a BAN on Tourist Visa to Schengen Countries for 1 year and Business Visa for till August 2007.

I am very scared if this will impact my L1 Visa Process. I just want to know if the US Embassy refers to Schengen Information System(SIS) while investigating before it gives a L1 Visa.
