Visa expied - how long can stay after expiry

Hi, My L1 Blnket Visa getting expired. If I am unable to travel bcaz of some health issues (ex. wife pregnant), is that possible to stay beyond the visa expiry date. If so how long? I have a option of Visa extension ruled out.

---- If your L1 has expired even the L2 Visa for your wife must have expired (unless she is on a different Visa)

---- If you are on L1 and wife on L2 and both the Visas are expired you will be needing B1/B2 to continue staying in the US and you have to apply before the expiry of your L Visas or immediately thereafter (within a day or two)

Thanks for your reply.
My wife is in L2 Visa and both of our visa getting expired on the same date.
Shall my company can apply B1 visa while I am in US itself?
Is it possible to apply B1 Visa while my L1 visa being valid?
If I applly B1 Visa from US, is there any need of stamping?
