Hi,
I'm in the US working on an L1B visa (exp Dec '08). I have a job offer from another employer, what is the fastest and best way to transfer/obtain work authorization to change jobs? Should they wait for April '08 to apply for an H1B for me? It's a gamble with the H1B quota. Can they apply for EB3 green card application, and I can start working while it is pending?
Any chance of just changing employers without the USCIS knowing about it? Is there something I can just file to adjust status or change employers? How does the USCIS keep track of where I am working?
Would like to start at the new job ASAP, so what is the best option here?
My manager will file for my I-140 immigrant visa in a couple of weeks. How long should this take before I can apply for an EAD and change employers?
Need to know the best course of action for my new employer to take to get me on board.
