Hi-
I came to US on H1B (valid till May 2008) in the year 2006.
In early 2007, per company policy my H1B was converted to L1A. I believe the process is filing new L1A petition (and not the actual conversion of exsiting H1B petition to L1).
Is this H1B (on which i travelled here) considered void, after the L1 approval is received? I have approved L1 petition as well as H1B petition, not sure which is considered as current? If not void, can this H1B be transferred?
Next time, if re-enter USA, do I need to have L1 visa stamped on the passport and cannot use this H1B?
Is there any way to figure H1B validity through online sources?
Note:Both H1B and L1A petitions are from the same current employer.
Thx!
Rgds,
I.R
