  • Employer threats to cancel H1b

I had been working on L2 EAD until got myself lucky (not really) to have my H1b approved thru a desi consultant through COS.

Now after joining the consultant, he changed all his terms and conditions and forced me to join a project with a very low compensation,
Upon declining, he has theatened to revoke my H1b.

    My questions:-
If he revokes my H1b, can any other company file/transfer my H1b? I do not have any payslips as I never got paid

If he revokes my H1b, does I become a illegal immigtant here or my status changes to my old status as L2?

    Thanks in advance

---- Yes, you can apply for a transfer, but that has to be quickly

If he revokes my H1b, does I become a illegal immigtant here or my status changes to my old status as L2?

---- Being on H1 you ar not an immigrant and the question of becoming an illegal immigrant does not arise. Basically if have no status of stay in the US then you are considererd to be illegal.

---- You may go back to L2 employer provided it is valid and unexpired. However, you may have to apply for a COS (Check this fact with a legal attorney and act accordingly)

      Thanks Subramanya.
Just another query. My empliyer has not yet sent my H1b papers like I797A and I94. He just sent me a copy of I797C. Can I report this to the DOL site? Does this makes a good case.
