Query regarding L1 Processing

Hi Friends,

I have a query regarding L1 Visa process.

As prescribed by L1 visa regulations, I am completing 1 year in the current organisation on Oct 25th. This allows me to apply for L1 visa.

Now I have heard about a regulation prohibiting L1 visa for following scenario:

In May, I had to travel on B1 for some assignment for about a month.

Does any rule of L1 says that, I have to spend 1 year in present job and 1 year in India during present job? Hence I can only file for L1 visa after Nov 25 since I was in US for a month. Please clarify this.........
