I got my L1 B stamped in mumbai this week.Thought of sharing ma experience.
My interview time is at 8:30
I reached the consulate at 7 50.
IF u are getting the timing after 9, its better to go to VFS facility and pay 200 bucks and come to the consulate on exact timing after all refreshments
When i finished my security checkings it was around 10 30. And when i entered inside,i submitted my DD and Interview letter, they gave my originals of DS156 and DS157 and a pink token.
Pink token number will be read in any of the 17 counters there .
we have to watch out for the voice and listen as they could call us to the maximum o 3 times.
Then my number was called in at the fourth counter.
I entered in when a girl finished her interview before me.
Me : Hi Good morning.
He:hey hi .. hwz u doing this mornign
Me : Great and fine.
He: Can i know your name sir.
Me : ZZZ
He : To whom u work
Me YYYY company
HE : what are u specialised in ?
ME: xxx x xxxx technology and this ERP
HE: What will u be doing in US
ME: Design and application development on this ERP which my client uses
HE:What is this ERP and where it is used
Me : Blah blah...
He: A final question.. hope u are not going on a managerial trip ... and u are going on a technical specialed knowledge work.
Me : Thats true sir.
HE: Here it goes.. ur visa is approved and u are ready to travel. Please be there till i finish my stamping works..
he stamped my DS documets and gave me all the originals and said u" u are ready to ffly US "
