EAD on L2

I read somewhere that any person on L2 visa can apply for and work on an EAD...
Can somebody tell me if such an L2 visa holder's EAD becomes invalid once the spouse's (who is on L1) project is over and he/she is no longer working in the US?

Will the spouse on EAD and L2 also have to leave the country or can he/she continue to work on their EAD?

EAD

yes L2 ead depends on L1 status. U cannot use ur ead once ur spouse loses his/her job.

Not only the EAD, the whole L2 depends on the L1. So if the L1 becomes invalid, the L2 becomes invalid, too, and the spouse has to leave the country as well.
