F-1 to L-1 Visa

Hi all,

I am currently on F-1 visa.One of the companies in india with whom I worked previously,want me to work on some of their projects here and they are willing to explore the option of sponsoring a L-1 Visa.My question is,since I am on F-1 now,can a L-1 visa be done for me?If so,what are the steps necessary?

You can't do L1 in this case. To get L1, you must be working in India with that Indian company for at least 1 year.
