Rule for visa duration -- have existing L1B, applying fresh

Hi, I've an existing L1B from Company A -- expiry is Nov 2005 (end of 5 years). I've being offered a job by Company B. If Company B files a H1B visa for me what is the expiry of the H1B visa -- is it Nov 2006 (which amounts to TOTAL of 6 years of US stay incl my L1B visa) ? Or is it Nov 2010 (which amounts to FRESH duration of 6 years) ?
