Can person on L2 travel without SSN to Any other location in US

This site is really helpful . I am amazed with the information available here. I haveone small question.
1.) I am travelling on L1 with my spouse & child to CA . Can My spouse & child go to NC after reaching there within one week without any SSN or EAD?
2.) Can she apply for SSN & EAD from NC ?

---- Once in the US, you can travel anywhere within the US. SSN and EAD are not required for travel and nor should they be revealed to any travel agency or site


2.) Can she apply for SSN & EAD from NC ?

---- It does not matter from where you apply for these documents, but you have to provide the exact location of your residence and tehn they may ask you to go to the nearest office. EAD is applied by mail to a processing centre depending on the state of your residence
