Question Re L1-Visa's

I was after some clarification on your L1 FAQ page.

Q: Can a person with a L1 visa transfer/change jobs?

A: Yes. The USCIS must be notified of any change in one's employment status

Can you clarify this please? Does it mean an L1 holder can work for a different employer? If so, what is the process?
