L2 Extension with Criminal Record

I am up for renewal and moving forward with a 1-539 Application to Extend my L2 Visa. Since my last approval I have been convicted of a DUI, and recently charged with a 2nd. Within this application form it asks if I have ever been arrested or convicted of any criminal offense since last entering the US. I feel I need to be honest, but also need to know if my application will be denied due to these unfortunate incidents...so I can prepare myself for the worst. If anyone has any experience with this, or advice, it would be most appreciated.

You have to be honest and there is no other way around it. I am surprised that you have not mended your ways after the first conviction and got a second one on your plate.

If unlucky, the extension stands a chance to not get approved or get processed as a CP instead of EOS which will require you to go get a visa and re-enter. This puts you in a risky situation as DUI visas are getting lot of scrutiny, evaluation from a doctor etc in some consulates.

Thank you for your reply. It has been a tough year. Can you please clarify what you mean by CP instead of EOS? I am also unsure what you mean by leave and then re-enter? With a different visa, or re-apply? I am here under my husbands original work sponsored visa. Thanks again.

Extension is EOS. If EOS is denied, it is CP as one has to leave US before I-94 expires, re-enter with a visa of the same category by applying at a consular post.
