H1to L1 cos - compliance issues

Hi,

Can any one let me know if there is any kind of compliance issues for the employer in doing H1 to L1 cos. I have a need for it as my wife wants to work but my employer is relectuant to change this even if I am offering to reimburse the money and not providing enough reasons

My employer is a India based organization which sends people to US on H1, L1and B1. I meet all the eligibility criteria for L1 and I used to work in India for 3 years for the same employer. I am currently in US working for client. I want to know if there is any issues with compliance which can hurt the reputation of the organizaton.

I think no issues other than some fees must be paid by the employer. You cannot offer to reimburse the fees. That's illegal. Maybe the employer does not want to spend the money.

No issues other than they are cheap and don't want to help you. This is how much loyalty matters these days.
