  • Max Stay on L1B with Approved Labor/I-140

    Hi All,
I have just completed two years on L1B visa. My labor is approved and I-140 should be approved in couple of months. My question is "Can I stay in USA for more than 5 years on L1B on basis of approved Labor/I-140?".

You reply will be highly appreciated.

L1 extensions are NOT possible based on Labor/I-140.

What's your category, PD, Country of chargeability?

    Max L1B is 5 years.

      Thanks for the valuable info.

As per link, best option for me is to switch to H1B. If I switch to H1B with my present company, will it affect my GC process.

      GC Info : EB3 / 30-Oct-07 / India

I agree. No effect on the GC process. L1 + H1 time = 6 yrs. H1 can be extended using the aprroved I-140.
