L1-B Visa extended stay abroad - feedback/experiences kindly requested

To whom it may concern,

I have been on L1- B Visa since early 2004. My current L1-B Visa is valid until end of 2008. However I have been abroad for 6 months now and will travel back to the USA next week.

Can anyone share experiences/difficulties/questions they have received from the DHS border officers upon re-entry?

As long as you have new offer letter with a latest date and your petition is valid, it will not cause any problems.

I'm still working for the same company...in the same position. Would a letter from our HR department, stating that I'm still employed, help?

Is there any period of absence in the US on an L1-B that might raise questions (as is with the green card)?
