L1-A revalidation

I recently filed for my I-485 AOS, but my L-1A is up in a few months (first 3 year period). Do I need to revalidate the L1-A, and when should I start the process?

If you want to remain on L1, you should start the process now.

If I extend my L1-A visa, this will not invalidate my existing I-485 AOS application, will it? I have already had my FP done.
