L1 --Rejections for couple of month by USCIS

Hi ,

I heard of somany L1 Extension cases are being rejected for last couple of months by USCIS.
Can some one please comment. I have filed the extension and got the RFE yesterday, i dont have any hopes of getting approval , after hearing somany rejections in recent past.

Any one having idea why they are rejecting L1 extensions these days?

what kind of RFE did you get?
any additional document they have asked for?
which service center?
thou not with exact dates---cld you plz tell me how earlier have you applied for the extn.

coz even my husband is planning to apply for the extension of his L1--jus to keep myself aware of.

n i have frnds who at the first instance applied for L1A instaed of applying for extension of L1B.

my RFE is like this...

#1 ) Statement of Work/Work Order
#2) Org chart of india and US
#3) My exp letter from INDIA HR
#4) My certifications & achivements..like that.

but what ever the RFE is about....i heard they are rejecting.. fingers crossed

If any one got approval recently...please share ur exp.

Yes, I have also seen a rise in posts here regarding L1 extension rejections. Have solid documentation ready. Thats all you can do. You should be concerned if you there is a reason to be concerned. If everything is alright with you as an applicant and with your employer then there is no reason of concern with whats happening with others. Have others applying from your company for extension been denied already?

No , 3 of my coleagues have filed L1 extension and all of them got their approval lettes. But it was 6 months back. but now for the last 4 months USCIS is rejecting many cases. any how our legal dept is filing reply on Aug-13, lets see what happens. but i have 50-50 chances here i think

is there any policy change for USCIS regarding L1 extensions? any idea.
and can any one tell what should i put for Question #1 ) Statement of Work/Work Order ? any idea...friends

Nothing like that. As L1 is being abused by employers, USCIS has been tightening it in that area. The company HR should be able to provide the workorder that they have with the client.
