H1B to L1B Change of Status

Hi,

I am on H1B right now in US and my I-94 is valid until Oct 1 2009.My spouse is on H4..
I would like to change to L1B so that my spouse can change to L2 and work

I am working for the same client from the beginning and the project will be good for another year or so.


Could anyone please clarify below queries:

1. Can the change of status from H1B to L1B happen while I am in US?
2. Do I have to go back to India for change of status?
3. How long will the L1B processing take while I am in US?
4. Do I need Visa stamping for L1B again while I am in US?
