  • Can a person on L2 work for a company for which he was previously working with L1?

My Husband and I, both are on L1 and work for the same company. My husband's L1 is expiring and he is getting his L2 processed as my dependant.
He is going to apply leave and stay with me.

I want to know if the following is possible.

Can he get the EAD and work for the same company again when he is in L2?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks.

He has to resign, applying for leave means he is still employed by A. He can work once he gets EAD.

      Thanks.

But my question is can he be on leave for 3 months till he gets the EAD and after that can he work for the same company (for which he was working under L1) again?

        Oh man!

Please read the last response you got from senior member Orion. What more do you need?

        Yes.

Not "leave" but resign from the company.

Get the EAD and join fresh.

        Get it?

If still not, God help you.

        Take care,
