I have L1 visa from company A valid till June-2009. Also, I have H1 visa approved for 2008 from company B. I have to travel US this month on L1 visa from company A and will return back after October. After return I will get my H1b visa stamped and start working with company B in US.

Few Questions:
1)Will this travel effect my H1 approval petition. I don't want to lose H1.
2)What would be my status after October 1st? I heard after October I will loose L1 status automatically. Is it right?
3)Can I start working with company B after october 1 without visa stamping.
4)Can I get my H1B visa transfer before october 1 from B to A and start working with A on H1 instead of L1 being in US and without stamping. Without paystub from B
5)Can I get my H1B visa transfer after october 1 from B to A and start working with A on H1 instead of L1 being in US without stamping. Without paystub from B
6)Can I start working either with A or B without stamping and being in US
7)What docs I need for transfer and stamping.

Are you currently in US or outside US? When was your H1b applied? While you were in US or outside?

2. Not if your H1b was applied while you wre outside US or if inside US, not as a COS.
3. No if the H1b does not have an I-94 attached to the I797 (COS).
4. Yes, can be done while you are in the US on L1 anytime. No Deadlines.
5. Yes if your H1b was not a COS.
6. Possible but you need USCIS to approve the COS from L1 to H1b again before beginning work.

What is H1b with COS? What is my case COS or not?

It is not a COS. You need to educate yourself more about H1b or you will be taken for a free ride once you enter US. Read more.

Thanks Dear for answering my questions. I am new to this visa stuff.
Just want to make sure I would not be in any trouble when in US and my H1 will not be lost while working on L1 after october?

1)How can I make sure that company B should not revoke my H1b approved before I transfer it to another company.
2)Can same company sponsor both L1 and H1b?
3)Can I work on L1b while same company is sponsoring on H1b also
