Can I go for L1 Stamping after H1 Stamping?

Hi,

I am currently working for Company A. They are planning to process L1 for me in the month of Nov/ Dec.

I've applied for H1 this year and got through the lottery from Consultany B who is insisting on me to go for stamping in September. So, I am planning to go for H1 stamping from Company B in September.

The problem is I'm not so sure of joining Company B. In that case, I wouldn't want to miss the chance (L1) from Company A. So,

1) If I go for L1 stamping from Company A, will there be any problems because of the H1 stamped from Company B?

2) Even I happen to get the L1 stamped, will the visa officer cancel my H1 status?

Please help.

1. No issues.

2. Both are work visas and VO can cancel the one that you dont want to use. That does not mean the H1b petition is also cancelled. It is just the visa that gets canceled and you could use the H1b later again by following the appropriate procedure.
