Can L2 Visa holder -EAD apply for green card?

Hi all,
I am on L2 visa and have an EAD valid till next year to work any where in U.S.

i have 2 quick questions..

* Am i eligible to start Green card processing with my current L2 visa--EAD.
if so please let me know the process?

* My H1 had been approved very recently.
i understand that i should use any one of the visa.can i still work on the EAD and keep the H1 pending or how does it work.please clarify?

Would appreciate if anyone would clarify my doubts and let me know the process.

Employment based green card is for future employment and a willing employer can start the GC process anytime for anyone that qualifies.
