Urgent help: Leapfrog-I-94 is not taken back

Hi,

I am in Mexico today.but no one took I-94 .When i went US broder to return they said that you dont require to return it .When you will reenter your visa will be scaned that will make entry in system that you entered into US with L1 visa.

Please suggest.

While coming back, at the place where they issue the new I-94 and collect $6, they will take back the old I-94. Ensure that they do and mention what you are trying to do.

I submitted the I-94 next day and while returning they gave me new I-94 . They didnt ask me any thing and i didnt tell them any thing . but i came on L1 back. Is it the same i was suppose to do? Please suggest.
