change of status

I am currently on L1 status and got approval for a change of status to h-1B from 1st Oct 2008.

My H1 was approved before August 2008 ( 3rd July 2008). I went out of USA and came back in August 2008. At the time of port of entry, I-94 is issued and stated that it is valid until Nov 2009. Does this mean that I can still continue on L1?

Kindly advise me.

No. Talk to a lawyer. Efren Hernandez memo says otherwise. AFAIK, you are working illegally on L1.
