what to do with I94

I am in L2 visa and currently in USA. on Oct 1st 2008 I switced to H1B (this year quota) and currently working on change of status.

now i have 2 I-94 documents one for L2 visa given at the time of port of entry in 2007 and another I-94 document that came with change of status h1b approval notice.

I am planning for a trip to india for stamping my h1b in the month of nov 08.
while leaving the country which i-94 document i should return ?

i will be greatful if someone answer my simple query.

Staple both of them together and return both of them. They contain the same number.
