  • Question on L1

I just want to find an answer for below question..

    1. Can i let my company A apply for L1A extension without providing them with the copy of H1 (I-94 ) as i don't want my company know that i have H1B with COS?If so, will there be any problem to get the L1A extension with new I-94?

    Thanks,

If you had COS, you have no reason to work for L1 employer or extend the L1 as you should be working and getting paid from the H1b employer.

The scenario you describe is not possible for a renewal for L1 company.

If you are still maintaining L1 using leapfrog, then they can.

      Thanks txh1b for your reply..

As of now, i'm not maintaining L1 using Leapfrog . Do you think i can do Leapfrog now and apply for L1A extension so that i can still continue be with L1 company ?

      1. I have L1A Visa till Feb 2009 . Can i go to india next week and come back within a week on L1A visa and apply for L1A extension through L1 company?
      2. When i leave USA , do i need to submit H1-I94 or L1-I94 or both at the airport?

Please advise as i'm going to decide today what to do..

      Thanks,

        1. You could try. But the old unauthorized work does not go away.
        2. You need to submit the I-94 that you have. As both contain the same number, it does not matter.
