L2 visa application

Hi,

I have a approved L1B blanket petition and I'm planning to visit consulate soon for my visa stamping soon. My plan is that I'll attend visa interview and if everything goes fine with visa issue and company sends me to an assignment then my wife will apply for visa.

Now in that case whether original visa holder(L1) can accompany his wife (L2) during her visa interview in future ? or L2 visa applicant should appear for interview alone ? should I plan to appear together for visa (does that increase the chances for getting visa) ?

You cannot ...

... appear together for the L1 & L2 visa, & once you get your L1 visa, you cannot go with your spouse once you get your visa.

The catch here is L2 cannot be applied for unless L1 is approved and obtained.
