Urgent - L1B and asked to leave

I'm working on L1B with a reputed MNC in the US.
My L1B is valid till Sept 2009.
My wife is with me here on L2 visa and she is 6 months pregnant.
The employer has asked me to leave for my home country as the assignment got over. I requested to put me in some other projetc but since the market is not good now, they are not having new projetcs that match my skill set.
So they asked me to leave for my home country.

Per medical rules, the airlines will not allow me to travel with my wife.
So what do I do ?

I cannot leave her alone here ?

You could apply for COS to B2 for both of you, continue COBRA health coverage if available, finish the birth and leave.

The risk is if COS gets denied, you would have accumulated illegal presence.

You need to talk to her doctor about this.
If doctor thinks there is a problem in traveling, she will give you a note.
You need to forward it to Hr and your immediate manager and one copy for yourself. Bring HR in this picture not only your manager.
