L1A Approval rating?

Hi,
My company applied for L1A extension last week and I got WAC receipt number. Just wondering about the approval rate for L1A at California Service center. Any idea?

If you see the trend these days, most of the L1B and L1A extns are getting denied.
Not sure what the reason is. USCIS send RFE to employers even if all the docs are in place.

Due to limited number of H1Bs, employers started applying L1 visas as an alternative and some of them misused it too. That is why USCIS scrutinizing each case very strictly. Does not matter if its an extension or a new petition.

USCIS also specific on educational background and relevant experience.

RFE received L1

I too received RFE for L1 extension.We have replied for RFE on Dec 24.Things are not looking good and Denials rates are very high.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services reportedly plans to address complaints about an L-1B visa denial increase some time this year. "Companies are trying to expand the definition of what is 'specialized knowledge' under the L-1B program to use it as an alternative to the H-1B visa because there is no congressionally mandated cap on L-1B visas," USCIS Acting Deputy Director Michael Aytes said, adding that the current standard used by USCIS adjudicators requires more than "just working for a company overseas for a year."
