Please Help! L1 visa problem!

My fiance has an L1 visa and works for a company in Mumbai India. She comes to the USA once per year to work in California. We met, fell in love and have applied for a K-1 fiance visa. But now her office is harassing her to submit her passport to the managers. They do not want her to leave the company. They are threatening to take some legal action that would really hurt our K-1 visa application. She has her big interview for the K-1 in February and she and I are extremely worried that her office could somehow mess up our entire application for k-1. Could her office claim she is running away with the L1 or something like that, just to try to get her in trouble even though she has done nothing wrong. IM very worried and need some urgent advice. Please anybody out there reply with comments and suggestions.

No one can take her passport other than the country that issued it. I think they are just employing scare tactics. Ask her to consult a lawyer and all the harassment would stop.
