Is Letter from company needed while on vacation travel in L1B visa?

Hi - I am on L1B visa, valid until Nov 2009. I am currently on vacation in india. While leaving back to US, I only have my petition copy and passport. Do I require a letter from my company (indicating that I am on vacation) along with these documents, for the port of entry? POE is Newark, New Jersey. Pls let me know asap. Thanks

In most cases no. A copy of recent paystub and an employment verification letter are good to have but not mandatory.
