L2 expiring,can I stay on H1 approval

Hello all,
I am having a query.
I am on L2 and my visa is expiring in June 2009.
I am going to apply for H1 in April 2009.
Can I continue to stay in US if my H1 gets approved(after June 2009)

Please advice.

No, H1 can be used only from Oct. 1st 2009 if approved.
If L1 employer files for ext. for L1 and L2 together and if gets approved then you can stay back otherwise you stay would be illegal between June-Sept.
