L1 B Visa extension

Hi,

My L1 B Visa is expiring in June 2009. I get to hear a lot about rejections of L1 extensions. Please advise if it is good to file an L1 extension from US itself or to go back to India, and either file an extension or apply a new L1 Visa there

Not a good idea for extension in US.
