L1 Extension

Hi,

My L1-B visa is going to expire by July 2009. Is it a good idea to extend my visa from US itself or going to india by April 2009 for making stamping? I heard that lot of rejections for L1 Extension. I'm not sure about the success rate for visa clearance eventhough if i go to india and proceed for stamping.

Suppose that if I'm not going to india for stamping (not sure whether it will be a new visa or extension of my current visa), what is the best time i can apply for L1 Extension from US itself.

I need your valuable suggestions.

Consulting an *****l**** would be the right thing for the best time.

But as far as I know it does not make a difference.
