Hi. I have currently a L-1B visa, however a mass laid off occurred and I do not know about the status of my visa, now I am unemployed. My company is still sponsoring me and I can get regular unemployment benefits for example. The company is by now in bankruptcy but do not want to cancell my L-1B.
However, working for another company B may not be allowed with a L-1B visa sponsored by company A, and then, is it necessary to change the status of the visa to H1 or another kind of visa if I succeed to find one company B?
