I came on L1A VISA and another assistant under L1 B. We have set up office and no other staff are working in US. For extension of L1 visa, is it required that any assistant to be appointed ?

Renweal of L1 A Visa
I came on L1A visa along with another colleague with L1B visa. We set up the office and started working. But we have not taken any local staff for employment. Now the visa is due for renewal on 30th april. So if we have to apply for renewal/extension, whether it is mandatory to have local employee or any other assistant. If so what is the procedure?

What do you mean you set up a office after coming on L1. L1 visa is intra-company tansfer, means there is a branch out of US and one in US. Someone needing to transfer from outside office into the office in US as per everyday company operations is eligible for L1 visa. You case seems different. Look up posts on L1 RFEs, you'll get an idea of what you may expect when your renewal comes up.
